Burgundy has worked tirelessly to help energize a fresh burlesque scene that benefits performers and audiences alike and continues to promote interest in the history and future of the burlesque movement.

A dazzlingly dynamic and elegant performer, Burgundy was awarded "Best Soloist" at the Great Burlesque Exposition of 2012, and was invited to compete for the title of "Reigning Queen Of Burlesque" by The Burlesque Hall of Fame in the 2012 "Tournament of Tease" at the Orleans Casino in LasVegas. "Dances for a Small Stage and appeared in Brief Encounters at Performance Works on Vancouver's Granville Island. She was honoured by the Vancouver Burlesque Festival in 2009 with an award for "Outstanding Contribution to the Vancouver Burlesque Community.

After training with her mentor, Jo "Boobs" Weldon, in the art of burlesque striptease, and creating her own unique and innovative performance pieces, Burgundy found herself performing burlesque in New York City several nights a week. Her unique style made her a favorite and regular at The Slipper Room, Ixion Burlesque and Kitty Nights as well as Starshine Burlesque, Le Scandal Cabaret, Coney Island's Burlesque At The Beach, and Galapagos Art Space.

Before turning her skills and focus to the world of Burlesque, Burgundy worked as a principal singer and dancer for The Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Trump Casinos, and many regional and off-broadway theatres in New York City. She also worked as a dance instructor for numerous studios in both Boston and New York.

Burgundy Brixx is continually striving to challenge herself to reach new and innovative heights that fuse the classic elements of burlesque striptease with a modern conciousness and a celebration and respect for all women everywhere.
